Katherine Heigl has opened up about being raised within "a White bubble." She also explains how that realization has affected the way she raises adopted children who are multi-racial. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane" spoke to the media that it did not matter what color her skin was to her. However, after meeting her Korean-American adopted older sister she realized the difference between how others treated her and her. When I asked Meg how she was treated when in public, regardless of whether we were with our parents, she said it was different. Meg replied, "Oh, yes, every time!' Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." According to the actor she was angered. However, she wanted to channel her anger into helping the girls she adopted. Heigl and her husband of 13 years -- the musician Josh Kelley -- have an infant son, aged 4 years old. Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide, 8, who is Black and was adopted in 2012.
